Show 1 Past, Present, Forward
Show 1 is much like the salon show last year

Please submit 3 to 5 pieces that you would like to exhibit – not to exceed 72” in either direction – and also indicate a preference for which piece you would like exhibited.  We are going to try and hang as many as possible.  Also, we will decline any that are not suitable for museum hanging – such as having the edges treated properly.  Sculpture is also welcome.

Featuring work from founding members, current members and future members –

NEEDED for 4 to 6 TAWA members to participate in helping. Two for Saturday Drop-Off (6/21), 4 – 6 for installation (6/24), 4 - 6 for taking show down (7/29) - please contact rgirandola@comcast.net

Show 1 Gallery Talk
July 13th, 2008 Sunday 1pm - 4pm "Past Present Forward"

Message from TAWA President Rob Girandola: If you missed it - tonight was the opening for TAWA's Past, Present, forward at Ellarslie and it was a lot of fun! Thanks so much for the artists who participated - our gallery talk is going to be Sunday July 13 from 1 - 4 at Ellarslie and Susan Kiley has told me she will bring a video tape from a pit firing at the Ellarslie Museum - we're going to have some refreshments and such and walk around the show and talk about the work - so if you can - come on out and let's talk about where TAWA's been and more importantly - where we're going and how we'll get there.

Show 2 Inside / Out

Show 2 – (July)  these may be submitted as soon as possible – the theme is Inside / Out – and we have been told that we will be able to use the grounds outside for outside sculpture if anyone would like to submit that.

All images should be reasonably sized for viewing on a monitor - @ 700 pixels x 800 pixels

TAWA invites entries to Inside / Out – a juried exhibition to be held at
Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum

Most media accepted: photography, prints, painting, drawing, pastels, mixed media, sculpture. Ellarslie cannot accommodate installation art. Video and computer artists must provide their own multi-media equipment/computers/stands/projectors to be considered. Both indoor and outdoor works are invited. “Inside / Out” may be interpreted any way the artist conceives of it. Literal translations as well as abstract or philosophical explorations welcome!

Submission must be received by – Thursday July 17, 2008 (Deadline Extended)

Participating artists must gallery-sit one Sunday (1-4) during the run of the show, and assist as needed at the opening. TAWA is the region's longest-running artist cooperative. This artist-run, all-volunteer collaborative is committed to showcasing and celebrating regional artists in all genre, but especially in the Visual Arts.

ENTRY FEES:
Free entry for TAWA members. (Members out of standing or non-Members can go to http://www.tawa-nj.org/tawa/membership.html to renew their membership NOW and save submission fee .)
Non-members $15.00 for first work, $10.00 for each additional submission.  
Up to five pieces may be submitted for consideration.

Original Lineup of Wing Dam to Perform for TAWA Opening at Ellarslie

On Saturday, August 9, 2008 Wing Dam (John Sheridan and Wilbo Wright) reunites with their original drummer, Clem Waldmann, for an evening of music as part of the free Opening Reception of TAWA’s Inside / Out exhibition at Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum in Cadwalader Park, Trenton. Known for their unique brand of "GoGo Boot Jazz", Sheridan and Wright are joined for this one event by the group’s original drummer, Clem Waldmann. Waldmann, who has been touring internationally for the past year and a half with Blue Man Group’s "How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.1", joins the group from New York City. Sheridan, also a professor at Buck’s County Community College, has been performing recently with Richie Cole’s Alto Madness Orchestra. Wright recently completed a national tour with the
